Eros International makes series of major content acquisitions

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Eros International PLC, a media and entertainment company in the Indian entertainment sector, said it has made a series of major content acquisitions and confirmed its schedule of forthcoming film releases.
Eros also said it has entered into a major collaboration with White Feather Films Ltd, a premier film production company owned by Sanjay Dutt and Sanjay Gupta, for the acquisition of global film distribution rights.
The deal includes approximately 15 films to be acquired by Eros over a five-year period. No financial details were disclosed.
Eros said it has also acquired international distribution rights of 'Darling', a romantic thriller, which will be released on Sept 7, and 'Nanhe Jaisalmer' starring Bobby Deol and young talent Dwij Yadav, released globally on Sept 14.
Following the box office success of 'Partner' and 'Heyy Babyy', Eros will be globally releasing another comedy, 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa' on Oct 12.
